Krautrock Kurator; Matt Rolfe, shares his passion for not just this most innovative music but for the astonishing and far reaching German cultural explosion that led rise to it.

Matt highlights the intellectual, artistic and historical influences at play and the sheer unbounded freedom of expression that emerged amongst young musicians in West Germany.

Ignored, dismissed or even mocked by the UK music and cultural establishment in the early 70s, Krautrock directly influenced punk, new wave and post punk artists in the UK as they later attempted to escape the same British musical and cultural establishment.
